Industrial Bank — Historic U Street Branch
The building on the corner of U and 11 Streets was designed by Isaiah T. Hatton, one of the Nation’s first African American Architects. Closed during the Depression, It reopened in 1934.
Industrial Bank
Founded in 1934, Industrial bank is the first African American owned financial institution in the District of Columbia. Del Studio Architects was hired to provide building assessment studies which then led to the renovation of the main headquarters at 4812 Georgia Ave. and the original historic building at 2000 11th St. NW.
TIAA CREF
Relocation of the existing Washington, DC office of Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association to 24,192 square feet of leased space at 555 12th St., NW. Spaces included consulting rooms, Director’s office, executive office, 50-person training room, open planned offices, all over raised access floor systems.
TriCon Corp/Yum Brands
Del Studio Architects was employed by Yum Brands to convert existing fast-food restaurants to Taco Bell/KFC restaurants in the Maryland/Virginia area.
Maryland Live! Casino
Del Studio Architects has been a partner with the Cordish Company and Maryland Live! Casino since its opening in 2012. Since that time, the casino has been a work in progress, continually upgrading and modifying offices and various amenities. Del Studio, as a local architect, has been instrumental in their design and execution.
Dick’s Last Resort
Del Studio Architects, as part of a design- build joint venture has been commissioned by the Cordish Company to design and construct the floating pier outdoor restaurant for Dick’s Last Resort, located in the Inner Harbor, Baltimore, Maryland.
